Wedding Stationery: Self-made

A dry, crisp and clear day, the weather we had always wanted for our wedding. There was just enough wind to make my veil fly – perfect.
Knowing we were sitting down to asparagus with poached eggs to start, steak and hand cooked chips and a trio of desserts which included sticky toffee pudding made standing outside in the cold for wedding photos even more enjoyable!
I always knew I wanted navy blue in my wedding. My husband looking exceptionally dapper in a navy suit helped sway my choice for colour scheme for bridesmaids and ushers.
We designed all our wedding stationery in navy with accents of grey. My florist incorporated silver Brunia and ranunculus to accent the grey within my flowers and the team at Alrewas supplied grey napkins for our tables.
Our cake was 4 tiers of spender. 3 different flavoured tiers including, blue velvet, champagne and strawberries and vanilla Choc chip. All simply iced in navy and ivory finished with a crest of our initials and Swarovski ribbon to add a bit of sparkle.

Our wedding was beyond perfect, from beginning to end. Getting ready in the honeymoon suite, sipping champagne and having a bridal brunch, the gorgeous setting for our wedding Ceremony and the picturesque grounds for photos. With full bellies we danced the night away to a tailor made playlist that we had put together with suggestions from our guests. When the clock struck 9 it was time to curb the hangover with pie and mash from our pie station before carriages awaiting at midnight. We really couldn’t have asked for a better day, one that will stay very close to our hearts and we will forever cherish x
